Meet the Doctors

Dr. Brent Kolb

Dr. Kolb established Dexter Family Dentistry (“DFD”) in late 2006. The first staff member was hired in February 2007, and in March, Dr. Kolb and DFD saw their first patient. In its current state, DFD is a culmination of the expertise and life experiences of Dr. Kolb, his associates, and the entire team. Together, they strive to go “above and beyond” to provide quality dental care in a comfortable environment, paying particular attention to the needs of each patient.

Dr. Kolb is a diplomate from the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and currently works as an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He graduated in 2003 from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. In June 2004, he completed one year of Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Michigan. In 1997, he graduated from Miami University with dual degrees in Chemistry and Mathematics. For two years, he worked as a researcher for Proctor and Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The advanced training Dr. Kolb received during his residency and throughout his career has honed his skills in obstructive sleep apnea, esthetic dentistry, direct cosmetic bonding and veneers, crowns, bridges, implant restorations, and removable dentures.

Dr. Kolb is happily married to his college sweetheart Liz and lives in Ann Arbor with their daughter, Meghan, and their son, Sam.
